ASHOK BHATT

CBV, CPA/ABV (US), CPA/CFF (US), FCCA (UK)

Biography

Ashok having gained experience in Kenya, Zimbabwe and England settled in Canada in 1988 where he worked as a senior manager with Deloitte and Touche in London, Ontario. He co-founded Zaritsky Penny LLP, a highly successful accounting firm where after providing accounting and tax services to his clients he concentrated on business valuations and international joint ventures. After a merger with another local prominent accounting firm Ashok headed the valuations division working with both buyers and sellers, financial institutions, and solicitors. Rich experience in conducting valuations for acquisitions, divestitures, estate planning, as well as family law and shareholder disputes until early retirement in 2014.

Ashok then headed the valuation division for Baker Tilly Vaughan Valuations until the merger with KPMG in 2021. He now operates AB Valuations Inc. providing the same level of expertise and services.

Ashok has a broad range of experience in specialty financial consulting in Canada and his work has been relied on by private and public business corporations and others. Ashok has performed business valuations for tax purposes, acquisitions, divestitures, and succession planning including management buyouts. He has performed assignments for food distributors, auto parts and other manufacturers and distributors, real estate, franchisers, legal practices, funeral homes, lumber distribution and sales company, investment holding companies, professional practices and numerous other industries.

Biography

Gandharv Jain, CPA (USA), FCA (India), ASA (AUST) is a finance and valuation expert with over 18 years of diverse experience spanning fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, assurance, due diligence, and corporate restructuring. He has held key roles with renowned global firms such as KPMG, EY, and S&P Global where he specialized in valuations and transaction advisory services. Gandharv is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant,  a Chartered Accountant from India and an Associate Member of CPA Australia. 

His professional journey covers a broad spectrum of industries including technology start-ups, energy, real estate, infrastructure, and supply chain. A recognized thought leader in the valuation domain, he frequently speaks at professional forums, summits, and training programs, including those organized by ICAI Registered Valuation Organization. He is also a contributing author in various publications and e-learning platforms including white paper published by the CBV Institute, where he shares insights on valuation best practices and emerging trends.

 

AMRISH GARG

CFA (USA), FCA (INDIA), ASA (CPA AUSTRALIA)

Biography

Amrish Garg is a seasoned finance and valuation expert with over 18 years of extensive experience across business and derivative valuations, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.

He has led a wide range of valuation and advisory engagements, including the valuation of complex financial instruments, intangible assets, operating businesses, purchase price allocations, equity fundraising, and M&A transactions. His expertise spans multiple geographies—such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, the Middle East, and India—and a broad spectrum of industries including logistics and supply chain, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, and hospitality. Amrish possesses deep technical proficiency in valuing complex instruments and various classes of equity using advanced option pricing models such as the Black- Scholes and Binomial models.

A recognized thought leader in the valuation field, he regularly speaks at industry forums, summits, and training programs hosted by professional bodies including the ICAI Singapore Chapter, ICAI Registered Valuers Organization, and IMI Business School. He is also a published author, with contributions to leading valuation literature such as a white paper published by the CBV Institute, offering insights into best practices and emerging trends in the valuation space.

Amrish is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA; a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where he was a national rank holder (6th rank) in the CA Final examination; and an Associate Member (ASA) with CPA Australia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
